As your dog ages, collagen production naturally decreases, compromising the integrity of joints, bones, muscles, skin, and digestive tissues. This decline often manifests as joint stiffness, reduced bone density, and gastrointestinal sensitivity. Collagen Type I and Type II supplementation replenishes this essential structural protein, supporting skeletal health, mobility, and gut barrier function. By restoring collagen levels, you help maintain your dog's physical resilience and comfort throughout their senior years.

Hydrolyzed Marine collagen is a type I collagen that is abundant in the body and can be found in skin, bones, teeth, hair, and nails. In addition, hydrolyzed collagen promotes the synthesis of new collagen in the skin and joints.

Marine collagen may improve skin elasticity, hydration, and overall appearance. One study found that eight weeks of marine collagen supplementation improved skin elasticity, thickness, and density. Others say it can take four to 12 weeks to see results. It may increase bone mineral density and osteoblastic activity, which can help protect against bone degeneration. May also help regenerate bone.
Helps with joint issues and weakness. It can also induce chondrogenic differentiation, which may help prevent osteoarthritis. Promote stronger, healthier hair and nails. Supports gut health. Marine collagen is also said to be absorbed well by the body and may work faster than other types of collagen.

Hydrolyzed Bovine Collagen type I & III are found in the muscles, skin, and bones of cows and contains both Type 1 and 3 collagens. It is a protein found in the flesh and connective tissues of mammals, including cows. It's the main component of cartilage and is also found in the vitreous humor of the eye.

"Studies demonstrate Type III collagen is safe and efficacious in improving knee flexibility and mobility, reducing knee and lower back pain, and enhancing motor function." *NIH.gov

Collagen is one of the most abundant proteins in the human body and it is found to have particular importance in areas like the skin, muscles, tendons, the cartilage of joints, and the spinal discs. Lumbar disc injuries, herniations and bulges, are some of the most common causes of back pain. Within the body there are three types of collagen, named 1, 2 & 3. Type 1 is most commonly found in the skin, tendons, cartilage and bone, Type 2 is found in the hyaline cartilage of our joints giving them their strength as well as inside the spinal discs providing cushioning for the spine.

*This is a preventative and supportive supplement recommended with Ester C Daily or if injured both the Daily and IVDD formulas. It does not take the place of those supplements.
